Q + A

What makes this different than a typical wedding?

We are getting married on a cruise ship while it is at port. We are excited for our close family and friends to experience this with us! Though we will be setting sail for our honeymoon right after “I do”, the good news is you will not have to and should not buy a cruise ticket to participate. Since we are at the mercy of Royal Caribbean and U.S. Customs, we have strict RSVP rules. We absolutely need to know if you will be joining by September 1, 2024. This also means that you can't show up at the last minute or bring extra guests, anyone who doesn’t RSVP by September 1, 2024 won’t be permitted to the ceremony by U.S. Customs.

What are the rules to the venue?

Everyone must be at the terminal by 9:30 a.m. with identification (Birth certification, Passport or Driver's License). To leave the ship, you must be escorted off by the ship staff in groups. You must stay within the venue as a non-sailing guest for security reasons. But most importantly, have fun!

What time is the wedding?

We will kick off the party with terminal arrival at 9:30 a.m., but the ceremony is at 12 p.m. on the ship and the reception will immediately follow until 2:30 p.m. where you will be escorted off the ship by Royal Caribbean staff in groups.

What is the plan on the day of the wedding?

Arrive at the terminal by 9:30 a.m. Group photos will be taken prior to the ceremony that will begin at 12 p.m. The ceremony will be no more than 30 minutes. The reception will immediately follow and go until 2:30 p.m. Once concluded, you will be escorted off the ship by Royal Caribbean staff in groups.

Why don't you have a gift registry?

We’re excited about your presence, not presents. Please no gifts. We already have everything we need together (and customs won’t allow them)! However, if you would like to contribute to our honeymoon experience you can do so my following the link on the website and we appreciate your generosity but certainly don’t expect it!
